豊かな暮らしってなんだろう？
場所にとらわれない働き方ができる時代。暮らす場所、暮らす街にどのように関わり、どんな場所をつくっていけばよいのだろう。
池袋から２駅のベッドタウン東長崎。高密なこのエリアの中にありながら、豊かな庭をもつこの壱番館では、地域に開かれた前庭ではイベントや、畑を中心とした日常的な居場所をつくり、開放的な屋上には住民で共有する屋上菜園を計画した。こういった外部空間を生活の中での閾として活用することで、暮らしを豊かにし、街との関係を育むきっかけをつくる。

What is an affluent life?
We live in an age in which people can work without being restricted by location. How should we relate to the place where we live and the town where we live, and what kind of place should we create?
Higashi-Nagasaki is a bedtown, two stations from Ikebukuro. In spite of its location in this densely populated area, the Ichibankan building has a rich garden.
The front yard, which is open to the community, is used for events and to create a daily living space with the vegetable garden, and a rooftop garden is planned on the open roof top for residents to share. Utilizing these external spaces as thresholds in daily life enriches living and creates an opportunity to foster a relationship with the city.
空室となっていた住戸は、前庭に面したシェアオフィス、南側の畑縁側つき住戸、3階の広い土間を持つ住戸として改修し、外の暮らしを楽しむための基地のようなコンパクトな住・営空間としている。
庭や畑、広い土間やバルコニー、前庭やアプローチ、屋上まで、屋内外の居場所を選びながら過ごす暮らし提案している。
The vacant dwelling units were renovated as a shared office facing the front garden, a dwelling unit with a field edge on the south side, and a dwelling unit with a large earthen floor on the third floor, creating a compact living/working space like a base for enjoying outside life.It is a compact living/working space that is like a base for enjoying life outside.
The proposal includes a garden, a field, a large earthen floor, a balcony, a front yard, an approach, and even a rooftop, where residents can choose where to spend their time both inside and outside.
